At Red Oak Middle School, we have been busy cleaning and painting. The building looks fresh, and you will notice work has been done in Mr. Hardy's science room. We are also working on the south entrance, and hope to have that project done before school starts.
Another change you should notice soon...the student council earned enough money selling cookie dough last year to purchase new basketball hoops and replace the broken backboard in the cage area. We are so proud of cleaning that area up, and we are asking that everyone help keep it clean and maintained.
We will have two new teachers in our building this year. Mrs. Lee will be teaching 7th grade math. She is a new teacher coming from Illinois. She graduated from the University of Iowa this past May. We also welcome Ms. Clausen from Tipton, Iowa. She is also a new graduate from the University of Northern Iowa. She will be teaching 8th grade language arts and a reading class. Both of these new teachers are coming to us with great recommendations and enthusiasm.
